Hello! my names Becky, I have created this website to promote myself and showcase a variety of work I have created both past and present so that you can see my range of skills and how my projects have developed and hopefully improved!
I am currently completing my second year on the three year ‘Special Effects for Film and Television BDes (Hons)’ course at Bolton University. This involves working with visual and special effects.
I have learnt a variety of methods and techniques such as
-Fiberglassing
-Prosthetic (creation and application)
-Make-up
-Mould making
-Sculpting
-Carpentry
-Set Design
-Prop Making
Since watching films such as 2003's Peter Pan, Star Wars and Harry Potter as a child I have been fascinated in the 'behind the scenes work' such as prop making and prosthetic/makeup application. I would watch the behind the scenes features on repeat and irritate my parents.
I am an ambitious and determined person and I have much to learn in my chosen field. I look forward to creating crazy creatures and props for as long as I can.
